
BC Assessment area offices make a variety of products and services available to property owners who wish to become more informed about the assessment process and the valuation of their own properties.
The products listed in the table below are available free of charge to commercial property owners in BC for their own properties, upon request to their area offices. Information is also provided free to a lawyer acting on behalf of an owner or to anyone who can be confirmed as an agent acting on behalf of the owner.
The fee schedule below outlines charges to property owners in BC or others who are requesting information on properties that they do not own. For information on methods of payment, click here.

Property Value Summary (PVS) - Commercial |
No fee if: • in accordance with Property Assessment Appeal Board practice directives and requested as a ‘comparable’ in preparation for an appeal to the Property Assessment Appeal Board. • ordered by the Property Assessment Appeal Board. If neither of the above applies, and you are not the owner or the owner’s agent, or a lawyer representing the owner, $100 per property for routine request, $200 for a priority request. |
| Modelling - Commercial Property BC Assessment has designed a series of automated models for specific types of commercial, industrial and strata commercial property to “model” the application of the income and direct comparison valuation approaches. A typical BCA model includes range of rents, capitalization rents, expense and vacancy ratios that can be applied to a specific group of related properties. |
$500 per property; $600 for priority request. Note: Data required for modelling is not currently available for all properties. In those cases for which a customized report is required, the fee is based upon $100 per hour. |
Assessment Roll Query |
If you access BC OnLine from your home or office computer, the BC OnLine fee schedule applies and you pay BC OnLine directly. Upon request, BC Assessment area office staff can provide an Assessment Roll Query (for $12 per folio) or an Assessment Inventory Query (for $16 per folio). An Owner/Location Query Report can be obtained only through BC OnLine. |

If you access BC Online from your home or office computer, the BC OnLine fee schedule applies and you pay BC OnLine. The map is referred to in the BC OnLine price list as “Plan Images to Web”. BC Assessment staff will provide for $15 per page. |
