BC Assessment's business is to provide a base for real property taxation in the province. To meet its goal, BC Assessment completes a province-wide Assessment Roll every December 31.
To meet this commitment, BC Assessment has over 650 employees. Over half of these employees are appraisers who do property valuation. The other half provides support for the efficient and effective operation of the corporation.
